Sylvaria Official Rulebook

This is the official rule book for Sylvaria. In this document, you will find the rules intended to keep the server fair and fun for all. If you see anyone breaking these rules, please make a ticket. And also, the admins are not above the rules. If you see a staff member breaking rules, then message the owner.

Admins may punish members before they have broken the rules in cases where they feel it's necessary (threatening to grief, or DDoS, or raid the server). Additionally, the length of the punishment is to be determined based on the severity of the rule that has been broken.

If you have any complaints or questions about the rules, then make a ticket.

📜

1. General Rules

1.1

Respect Everyone

Treat other players with respect. No harassment, racism, personal attacks, or targeted toxicity. Disagreements happen, but keep them civil.

1.2

No Cheating or Exploiting

Hacked clients, X-ray, dupes, macro scripts, or bug exploits are strictly forbidden.

If you find a glitch, report it, don't abuse it.

1.3

Keep Chat Clean

No spam, NSFW, or advertising other servers. Memes and jokes are fine, just don't flood the chat.

1.4

Follow Staff Instructions

Admins and moderators keep Sylvaria fair and stable. If a staff member asks you to stop or fix something, listen.

If you disagree, appeal respectfully, not in global chat.

1.5

Use Common Sense

If you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask a moderator before doing it.

"Loophole behavior" (breaking the spirit of the rule but not the exact wording) still counts as breaking it.

🌍

2. Nations and Politics

2.1

No Snake Claims

Claiming around empty chunks is not allowed. Also, claiming long columns/rows of chunks is not allowed either.

2.2

Keep Distance

Don't claim any land too close to an already existing town/nation. Claim at least 10 chunks away from an existing claim, and do not expand your claim within 10 chunks of an existing claim.

2.3

Alliances and Treaties

Alliances and treaties must have mutual consent from all involved nations.

Treaties and War reparations will be enforced by the staff team.

2.4

Inactivity and Leadership

Inactive nations may lose land or leadership after a grace period (usually 14–30 days). Staff will transfer the claim to the next in command if the leader is inactive for 14-30 days. And if there isn't anyone to transfer the claim to, then the claim will be deleted.

⚔️

3. Warfare and Conflict

3.1

Declaring War

Wars must be announced publicly (on Discord or in-game) with a clear reason.

Example: "Border conflict," "Retaliation," or "Resource dispute."

3.2

War Conduct

Keep wars strategic and fair.

No exploiting or excessive destruction that leaves the map unusable.

3.3

Combat Rules

No combat logging (leaving the server mid-fight).

No killing AFK or clearly non-combatant players.

🏗️

4. Building and Territory

4.1

Respect Others' Builds

Do not build too close to another player's territory without permission. Leave room for expansion and diplomacy.

4.2

Building Standards

Sylvaria values realism; floating boxes and random chaos structures are discouraged.

Fantasy or unique builds are fine if they fit your nation's theme.

4.3

Terraforming and Aesthetics

Terraform responsibly. Large terrain changes should look natural and not ruin nearby areas.

4.4

Transport

Griefing roads, railways, and such will result in punishment.

🗣️

5. Roleplay and Lore

5.1

Roleplay Tone

Roleplay is semi-realistic. Magic, gods, or fantasy elements are fine only if they fit Sylvaria's tone and don't break immersion.

5.2

References to Real-Life Events

Lore and roleplay should not reference any real-life events/tragedies. Also, no fascism or extremist RP that mentions or is related to IRL groups.

5.3

Media and Propaganda

Players may create newspapers, speeches, or propaganda, but keep them respectful and non-toxic.

⚖️

6. Staff and Enforcement

6.1

Punishments

Punishments depend on severity: warnings, fines, temporary bans, or permanent bans.

Everything is handled case-by-case.

6.2

Appeals

If you think a punishment was unfair, appeal respectfully through Discord.

Ranting or flaming in chat will not help your case.

6.3

Rule Updates

Rules can evolve. Major changes will be announced on Discord way before the change is implemented.
